Why Yoga at Panacea Studios?
Panacea Yoga Studios was developed for one reason….To share the idea that Yoga is a naturally derived practice suitable for people of all ages. This studio offers a variety of diverse classes to meet individual needs on many levels. Learning a variety of asanas (yoga poses) and pranayama (yoga breathing) guided imagery(meditation)collaborated together makes this fun practice of yoga meaningful.
Individuals unfamiliar with yoga practice and its wide range of benefits often make the assumption that yoga is something geared for the strongest, most flexible, extremely disciplined person. This is a fabricated myth I would like to correct.
The good news…… yoga is for people of all ages and levels, new to yoga or familiar with this ancient practice rooting more than 5000 years ago. The philosophy behind this creative union of mental and physical balance truly enriches the quality of people’s lives, helping to lessen symptoms of disease and build a strong foundation for a better overall quality of life.
The vast benefit’s yoga offers is endless, just to name a few:
- Helps to naturally realign the spine and correct poor postural habits.
- Enhances a great overall body stretch to accommodate our busy lives.
- Increased muscle strength.
- Reduces stress/anxiety/exhaustion for a more balanced mood, by naturally increasing circulation in our bodies and increasing oxygen levels, additionally aiding a healthy cardiovascular system.
- Helps to tone internal digestive organs to keep them functioning more optimally.
- Cleanses and detoxifies impurities in the body.
- Relaxes the mind and helps to purify a healthy nervous system.
- Can help to heal from illness/injury more quickly.
